Fabric8 (GB) Limited, a local architectural balustrade and steelwork manufacturer, has won a contract with Balfour Beatty Regional Civil Engineering to supply the balustrades and hand-rails for the bridge deck and approaches on the North Shore Footbridge in Stockton-on-Tees.
The bridge, for Stockton Borough Council, will span the River Tees linking the Tees Valley Regeneration’s North Shore Development with the Teesdale area. The footbridge is funded by English Partnerships, European Regional Development Fund and One North East.
Paul Timmins of Fabric8 said, “We are delighted that ‘Balfour Beatty Regional Civil Engineering, one of the UK’s leading contractors, has selected Fabric8 as one of its suppliers on the North Shore Footbridge project. We look forward to working closely together to successfully deliver this contract on such a prestigious project”.
The project is due to be completed this winter.
We’re delighted for Fabric8 too – it’s always good to hear about finditinurbanliving members winning prestigious contracts like this one. If you have a story you’d like to share with us, please email it to stephen_massey@sandwell.gov.uk.
