Eco2solar creates ‘solar-ready’ apartments
Local company Eco2solar is celebrating after securing a contract to supply solar hot-water cylinders and pipework for a prestigious development in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter.
Thanks to the innovative thinking of developers PCPT Architects, purchasers of apartments at the Spencer Point complex, which comprises offices, living space and a penthouse, will be able to add solar power at a later date at a highly reduced cost.
PCPT Managing Director David Mahony has said that installing solar-ready equipment is a “‘no brainer’, and everybody should think of buying property with this sort of provision. It makes sense in every way".
Eco2solar’s Managing Director Paul Hutchens added: “We are delighted to be involved in such a prestigious and high-profile project. It really does demonstrate that solar energy has entered the mainstream and is suitable for regular homes and buildings”.
