Smethwick-based building firm W K Cox Ltd is celebrating after being contracted to carry out the third phase of a prestigious project: the redevelopment and refurbishment of 3 Temple Row West for the Birmingham Cathedral Chapter.
Having completed all previous phases, which involved the sympathetic restoration and refurbishment of a Regency-style building opposite Birmingham’s cathedral, W K Cox was delighted to be engaged for the final part of the project.
”The Cathedral Chapter was that pleased with the execution of the project and the works being kept within cost constraints on the previous phases, they have engaged us to complete the final phase,” said Ed Robertson, Commercial Director for W K Cox.
"This involves the stripping out of the basement and turning it into a gymnasium, with all associated works. Also the refurbishment of the third and fourth floors for office use, complete with air conditioning.”
The value of this contract exceeds £275,000.
